So what are cookies and why can't I eat them?

Cookies are small temporary text files that live on your computer or mobile device when a site is visited. Websites most commonly use cookies for marketing purposes. Although Real provides a tangible product, we also use cookies to give our website better online functionality when accessing your account and other content we make available. Real customers that actively use our online tools and content will receive product functional cookies. All visitors to the websites may receive website cookies.

Cookies and similar tools are used across Real.dog websites to improve users' online experience and performance. This policy explains how Real does this and what these cookies are used for.

Real uses the term “cookies” to refer to all files that collect information in this way. Cookies may be used to recognize a device when one of the Real's websites is visited, online content is accessed and when a Real's email or newsletter is engaged with.

In addition to cookies, Real may use another device called a “web beacon pixel”. This may be included in emails sent to users from time to time.

How do we use cookies?

The primary purpose of the cookie(s) is to help the website and product recognize and remember a user’s device, and to provide certain product functionality.

Cookies help us analyze how well the website and emails are performing, and what content is of most interest to our visitors. Within Real's online content, cookies might be necessary to help integrate with a secure login.

What sort of cookies do we use?

This allows us to provide a high-quality experience by customizing our offerings, and quickly fixing any issues that arise. We may also use these cookies to highlight articles or site services that may be of interest to any users based on how they use our websites.

2. Behaviorally Targeted Advertising Cookies
Real may use cookies to display advertisements that are believed to be relevant to a user’s interests.

3. Product cookies
Some cookies are essential to access Real's online content and its functionality. Product cookies allow identification of users and enables users to sign in. If a subscriber opts to disable these cookies, the user will be logged out of the Real's online system.
